Portfolio: Example 2

Problem
The grand piano was backed into a corner and although the other furniture pieces were lovely, they lacked a connection to each other. This kept them from shining in the room, from functioning well and looking balanced.

Solution
Changing the angle of the grand piano allowed the beautiful lines to be seen and brought a comfortable flow to the space. Bringing together the loveseats and using an end table for a coffee table unified the pieces. Placing a sofa table behind one loveseat created an additional display surface and opened up needed space in another area. The curio cabinet was moved to a narrow wall next to the front door and in its place we used a mirror over a chest of drawers. Pulling in the wingback chair and placing one of the tapestry side chairs into the seating arrangement created an inviting well functioning conversational space. Careful placement of art and accessories finished the room giving it an elegant pulled together look.
